The rules: No dating. No sex outside of the game. No disclosing the terms of the contract. Rules were made to be broken, right? Eight weeks ago I signed a contract. One that seemed like a good idea at the time. A handsome bachelor, luxury accommodations, and a chance to win a prize my family desperately needed. There were some rules though. Lots of them actually. Follow the script, no dating, sex, or disclosing the terms of the deal. After my self-imposed moratorium on men the last year, it wouldn’t be hard to live up to my end of the bargain…so I thought. Until I realized the deal I’d made was with the devil…and I was in love with his dirty-talking brother.
I received this book from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
This was my first Vi Keeland book and it will definitely NOT be my last!
I finished the Audible book of Throb, by Vi Keeland a few days ago and below I have my review, and an audio sample of the book narrated by the swoony Sebastian York as Cooper, and Molly Glenmore as Kate.
As I said above, this was my first book from Vi and I don’t know what took me so long. Poor judgement on my part. VERY poor. Don’t make my same mistake, folks! I really enjoyed the story and found myself not wanting to close my Audible app once I got to work. I found myself sitting at my desk wondering what was going to happen between Coop and Kate; I actually did a little fist pump when I had OT because it meant I could pop my ear buds in and continue listening once the bosses left lol (shhh don’t tell). Not only did the story draw me in, Sebastian and Molly did as well. They did an outstanding job bringing their respective characters to life and I really think it make the experience better for me. I loved my alpha movie exec, Cooper. He was swoony and sexy and everything I love about a book boyfriend. Kate was strong-willed, dedicated to her family, and not at all intimidated by Cooper’s money or power. I liked the the bachelor styled reality theme and the way it was presented surprised me. The bachelor wasn’t who I was expecting and I loved the twist. I especially LOVED hearing Cooper call his “competition” dickhead. Hearing it vs reading it had me cracking up; I found myself rewinding those parts A LOT! Cooper’s younger brother, Miles, created the perfect blend of angst and I-want-to-smash-his-face-in; I was sorry to see Coop didn’t swing at him. I would’ve cheered!! If you have the ebook already I can’t suggest enough adding the Audible narration, I do think it’ll add to your reading experience, and if you don’t have the ebook, this one is definitely worth the buy, or credit! The storyline was entertaining and engaging and the narration was spot on!
