Spend the Night – Episode 1
Welcome to The Wellesley-Crawford...
Hannah Wellesley has spent her entire life running the halls of her family-owned hotel, the infamous and opulent Wellesley-Crawford. Noted as one of the city's richest, most luxurious hotels in Chicago, the WC is what Hannah has devoted her life and career to.
The hotel’s Annual Masquerade Gala is the event of the year, but this year Hannah’s evening involves more than just handing out masks. After a mysterious rendezvous in a secluded stairwell with an irresistible and unidentifiable man, Hannah becomes consumed with discovering the identity of her masked lover. Just as she’s about to give up the search, two men blow back into her life with drastically different intentions. They both have secrets and uncovering them will lead Hannah down a darkly dangerous path.
Drawn to both of the intriguing bachelors, she’ll have to determine which one is after her heart and which one plans to do her deadly harm before it’s too late.
I received this book from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Happy Release Day Elizabeth Lee! Spend the Night, episode 1 in her Hotel Series is out today and I had the opportunity to read it early. Check out my review below 🙂
I need more. NOW! I feel like the spoiled brat in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory wanting to stomp my feet shouting “I want episode 2 NOW, Elizabeth!” But, I have better manners lol.
From the prologue, Elizabeth pulled me in with the mystery. Our heroine, Hannah, throws her usual behavior to the wind with a sexy hook-up with a masked stranger. We have no clue who he is and Hannah spends the following eight months thinking back to that night, fondly. And often. What makes things fun are the two men we come to meet, we get chapters from “Him” but we have no idea who he is! I loved the way that every time I was convinced I knew who “He” was, in the next sentence I was saying “crap, now I’m not too sure anymore.” I’m excited to see how this story develops and to see how Hannah handles things. In addition to trying to uncover who her mystery man is, I’m sensing she’s got a fight on her hands to take over as the rightful COO of her family’s hotel. I can feel the sexual tension and mystery in this series future and I’m welcoming it with open arms!
