Maxwell Jameson Trevor, prince of Lilaria, hates his royal role. Despising the limelight, he takes solace in his art studio and steers clear of any drama. But when one of the newly discovered royals passes away, Maxwell’s brother Alex asks him to break the news to the old man’s granddaughter. Though he hates to be the bearer of doom and gloom, he doesn’t want the poor girl to find out from the tabloids. For Maxwell knows all too well how devastating that could be.
Coming from a broken home and modest background, newly ordained Lady Meredith Thysmer has seized her chance to make a better life for herself and her son. She’s not afraid to use her best assets to get what she wants. But when the unpretentious yet devastatingly handsome Max delivers his news, her plans for the future come crashing to a halt. In the challenging days ahead, Max’s compassion, humor, and steadfast loyalty to Meredith and her son win her over. She quickly finds herself doing something she swore would never happen again: falling in love. And yet Maxwell still refuses to completely drop his guard. Somehow Meredith’s got to find a way to seduce this reluctant royal.
Nichole: Hi Jessie. Thank you for doing this interview. I know that you usually turn them down.
Jessie: Most of the people asking for interviews are trying to get dirt on Samantha, but she said you were okay. And Chadwick liked you.
Nichole: Ah, yeah. That was kind of them. And you, of course.
Jessie: It’s no problem. What do you want to know?
Nichole: Well, tell me about you. Are you still in school?
Jessie: Yep. I’m a lifer.
Nichole: What are you studying?
Jessie: I’m pre-med. Right now I want to work in family medicine, but that could change.
Nichole: That’s fantastic. Are you going to stay in the States or move to Lilaria? Perhaps to work with the Royal family?
Jessie: I’m open to a lot of options.
Nichole: That was a very political answer. Nice.
Nichole: So, what kind of dirt can you give us on the princess?
Jessie: Ha! You think I’ll just give it up like that?
Nichole: Well, yeah.
Jessie: Okay. She is a horrible morning person. No, that’s not true. She is an anti-morning person. She loathes waking up and has the demeanor of pissed off honey badger. It’s not pretty.
Nichole: I’m not much of a morning person either. I heard there was an issue at your wedding. Something that may have involved a bouquet?
Jessie: She lost her bouquet. Lost it! One minute it was in her hand and the next it had disappeared. The music was playing and she didn’t have her bouquet! How do you lose the flowers in your hand?
Nichole: What happened?
Jessie: Chadwick did some kind of magic with a centerpiece next to the guest book. Just whipped up something right there and then pushed her toward the door. Stupid thing looked better than the one she was originally going to use.
Nichole: Did you ever find the bouquet?
Jessie: I don’t know. Maybe Bigfoot snuck in and took it for a snack.
Nichole: Maybe he didn’t want to upstage you at your wedding.
Jessie: A thoughtful but hungry Bigfoot. I can go with that.
Nichole: Well, thank you for taking the time to chat with us. I appreciate it.
Jessie: No problem, though I’m now worried that Bigfoot might be sneaking around my house looking for a snack.
Nichole: You could plant a garden.
Jessie: Right. You’d have better luck suggesting that to my husband Bert.
Nichole: Noted. And thanks again.
