Today Jamie McGuire’s Beautiful Oblivion blog tour stops by. Below is my review along with a giveaway for a signed set of limited edition hardcover Jamie McGuire books (I own all of Jamie’s hardcovers myself and I can assure you, THEY ARE GORGEOUS!). Beautiful Oblivion is the first book in Jamie’s Maddox Brothers series and it will be available July 1st. I loved this book and it was an amazing start to the series <3
The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.
Fiercely independent Camille “Cami” Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.
Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.
Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.
As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever—even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.
In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

If you’ve been with me from the beginning of my blog youKNOW I love Travis something FIERCE! Travis Maddox was my first and #1 book BF; I compare all other book boyfriends to him and they never seem to quite measure up. WELL, hell has frozen over because I’ve found a book boyfriend that can rival my affections for Travis…his big brother, Trent. Trent made me feel like a swoony high school teenager smitten with her first crush. I’m talking doodle hearts in my notebook with our initial swoony crush!  Beautiful Oblivion made me fall in love with this series all over again with the bonus of a new set of characters to root for; it surpassed my expectations. When I started the book I admit I was worried that I’d compare and contrast it to Beautiful Disaster but there was NONE of that. Jamie gives us a story that is all Trent and Cami and I absolutely loved it. Trent is a splendid mix of cocky/sweet with that trademark Maddox swagger but yet he is 100% his own person with his own distinct personality. Cami is fierce, fearless and everything this Maddox boy needs. Beautiful Oblivion is an exciting roller coaster ride full of ups, downs, twists and turns and one that I’d be first in line to ride over and over again.
I can’t wait for July 1st when we all can sit and discuss this one together. By then I’ll probably have read it for the third time.
I received a copy from the publisher to review for the blog tour
