When Gage discovers that the alluring woman before him is the key to his latest acquisition, claiming her as his suddenly doesn’t seem quite so cut-and-dried. To get what he wants, he must get to know the fierce woman willing to face him down—as she steadily steals his heart.

Gage’s persistence and intense passion war with Marina’s determination to protect her family. As they delve deeper into an affair they didn’t see coming, Marina’s torn: Will she lose her heart to Gage—or everything she holds dear?
:My Review:
Monica has made me a happy reader but, then again, she always makes me a happy reader. Torn focuses on Gage, who we had first met in Crave. He was Mr. All Business all the time, he dabbled with the ladies but he never had a desire to pursue an actual relationship with any of them. He refused to let anything get in the way of distracting him from building his real estate empire. That being said, I just KNEW going into Torn I’d be in for a funny/sweet/swoony/sexy story watching Gage get knocked on his fabulous rear end and fall head over heels!
I was right.
Call me crazy but I loved the love/hate relationship Gage and Marina had going on. Marina hated him at first sight knowing who he was and what he wanted annnnddd Gage was smitten by her, Marina is beautiful and when he turned on his charm you knew he wanted to take her home with him…imagine his shock when, during their conversation she called him a vulture, looked at him with contempt, did an about face and walked away leaving Gage standing there all alone. That part was priceless!!!
What comes next was pure reading entertainment! The two of them entertained me as they got to know each other, there was a ton of back and forth bickering and arguing only to find themselves pulling each others clothes off minutes later. I loved that their passion for fighting with each other intensified their passion for each other in other areas as well. I enjoyed seeing Gage gradually go from Mr Business all the time to realizing there ARE more things in life other than business. Torn, like Crave was a fun story with great characters, passionate sexy moments, and the angst was low level. I can’t wait to read Savor, I’m dying to know if Matt will win their bet or if it will end in a three way tie.
I give Torn 4 stars

  1. Always. Right now it is whether to allow my 17 year old son to visit his sperm donor that gave up parental rights over a decade ago, for part of his Christmas vacation. I have a feeling I’m going to have a very p*$$** off son.

  2. I am divided on the decision to take a sabbatical year in college or continue studying regularly. Just scares me my mother’s reaction!!
