The New York Times bestselling author of The Valentine’s Arrangement continues her sizzling series with a new novel of a plan that goes awry—in the arms of a soldier…
Picking the wrong men is a talent Meagan Mitchell has perfected. She’s sweet, confident, beautiful—and single. With her thirtieth birthday sneaking up on her, she needs a new plan. No more Mr. Wrongs or Mr. Bads, it’s time to find Mr. Safe…
Army Captain, Reed Porter, lives for the thrill—he’s an Airborne Jumpmaster with a rush addiction. He’s sexy and playful, and he quickly tempts Meagan with his rich Southern drawl and sinful looks. But slowing down and settling down are not in his agenda, making him exactly the type of man Meagan wants to avoid…
As their undeniable attraction heats up, Meagan has to decide if she’s willing to risk everything on a chance at love with a reckless charmer. Is she brave enough to bet her future—and her heart—on Mr. Thrill? Or will Reed finally learn that the feeling of a safe landing is just as addicting as the rush of the fall?

The sound of her heels echoed quickly through the quiet surrounding her as she walked down the walkway to her apartment. She felt her heart pick up the pace and fall into rhythm with the soft click of her steps.
Reed leaned away from the door as she got closer. She was nervous, her chest felt like it was constricting around her lungs, making it nearly impossible for her to breathe.
She soaked him up as she stepped in front of him. His light blue T-shirt pulled against his chest and hung just below the waist of his worn, tattered jeans. She loved the way he looked in jeans and his brown flip-flops. She smiled.
“Does that smile on your face mean you’re happy to see me?” he asked, his eyes raking over her appraisingly. He had never been ashamed to look at her. Never once.
She sighed. “I’m always happy to see you, Reed.” No matter how mad she was at him, she couldn’t help it.
His face contorted in confusion.
“You shouldn’t have come to the restaurant and you—”
“I’m not sorry, Meg,” he interrupted. “I’ll never be sorry for any moment that I get you pressed against me. Do you know how hard it was for me to leave that restaurant without dragging your ass along next to me? It took every single ounce of restraint I had not to pick you up in my arms and carry you away from him.” The muscles of his jaw started working beneath his scruffy face. “Especially with you in that damn dress.” His stare grazed her skin, physically heating the path it took, and regardless of the fire that had set flames to her skin, she shivered.
“You told me to go, so I went. But I will never walk away from you willingly.” His feet took one step toward her and her pulse picked up. His chest lingered near her beasts and she instantly craved the feeling of it pressed against her.
His fingers slipped through her hair and his palm rested on the side of her cheek. “Never again,” he said, his voice low.
She held his eyes, waiting for something to pass through them that would bring her back to solid ground, because she was sinking fast. She was anchored to him, and she was sinking. But nothing in his eyes told her anything other than the words he just spoke.
She sighed and leaned her face into his hand. She was done fighting it. She might hate herself for this down the road, hell, she might hate herself for this in the morning, but she didn’t care anymore.
His lips pulled up ever so slightly as she molded her check to his palm. Before she could even register what had happened, he had his hand wrapped around hers and was pulling her toward his apartment.
A slight thrill washed over her from the intensity of his movements. Urgent, determined. No more words were spoken between them—and the silence alone spoke volumes. What was there to be said that wasn’t being told in the way his fingers curled around her hand, the way he led her up the walkway, making sure to keep little distance between their bodies, or the way he looked at her from the side, as if her very presence was rocking him.
When Reed stepped up to his door, she leaned against his back, her hand still held firmly in his. She waited patiently behind him as he fumbled for his keys and turned the lock. He stepped inside and Meagan’s feet helplessly followed—a marionette to her puppeteer.
I loveeeddd The Valentine’s Arrangement like read it multiple times loved it so needless to say I was excited when I found out we were getting more from Kelsie! Feel The Rush was my flight to and from Vegas read and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. (I received a review copy from Net Galley in exchange for a review)
Where to begin…lets start with Meagan, I really liked her! Being in the same age range as her I got where she was coming from with wanting to find Mr. Safe, settle down and have babies…AMEN sister!!! I’d like a hot sexy Mr Safe myself before the cataracts set in and I can’t see him lol
Speaking of hot and sexy…Reed! Reed and his “Hey, Sugar” with his southern accent could melt igloos in Antarctica. That man and his dirty talk is hotter than the hinges to the door way to hell.
The banter between he and Meagan made me laugh, some of it made me cry and some parts left me with the need to fan myself with the flap part of my Kindle case. Meagan’s BFF and roommate Eva was a scene stealer, the things she came out with just had me sitting there laughing, shaking my head thinking “I know she didn’t just say that” oh but she did! She’s a pisser with a capital P. All of the secondary were fantastically written. It’s what I enjoy about Kelsie’s writing, she gives us regular people; like if they were real I could see myself being friends with them. I love her metaphors and descriptions, they make me smile and entertain me. Some I highlight to make sure I use it in real life later on. Overall, I loved their story. I got a kick out of seeing Reed remember just how they met years prior. Then their were times I just wanted to kick Reed for his antics. Feel The Rush had just the right amount of angst for me; enough to make my eyes tear up but not so much that I wanted to pitch my kindle down the airplane aisle. Kelsie gives us an awesome story, great female characters and a ton of hot sexy military men 🙂
Just like The Valentine’s Arrangement, Feel The Rush will be a once is not enough book for me. I can’t wait for the remaining books in her Hard Feelings Series to come out.
Meagan Mitchell is playing it safe; she has already dated the bad boy, the wrong
guy, the cheating guy now she wants Mr. Safe, the man who wants what she wants.
She had a 5-year plan but the clock ticking and her time has just about run out.
Reed Porter, Mr. Thrill seeker his life plan is to live life as if every day was his
last. He thrives on adrenaline; he needs to feel the rush and the excitement
that comes with it.
“I’m addicted to the feel of the rush. I need it”
Megan decides a fresh start is in order and to travel the safe road only there’s a bump in
the road and his name is Reed Porter!
What happens when these two meet, she wants safe, he wants
the rush… Sparks, beautiful and spine tingling sparks, the kind that leave
you breathless and wanton, the kind that sets your body on fire, the kind
that makes your head spin, the kind that makes you…scared.
“Sometimes, the things we’re afraid of-the things that scare us the most,
Are the things that give us the biggest rush”
Meagan was strong, sweet, and funny and she got under my skin the way a best friend does.
She was compassionate and genuinely cared about the people around her.
I laughed with her and at her and I cried when she cried.
Reed is all alpha male; tall, muscular, drop dead gorgeous and sweet, he’s so sweet
I have to ask…Can I have one and yes please take me against the wall too!
He’s a Captain in the Army’s Airborne division
and his southern accent will send a shiver all over your body!
He consumed me…the way says sugar and draws it out made me feel like
he was saying it to me! He stays with you long after you close the book, sugar…
Delicious and steamy scenes will have you turning the pages wanting more,
just like Megan and Reed did. It was never enough, their bodies couldn’t
get close enough or deep enough or fast enough…
But, is mind-blowing sex enough… Megan wants more and she doesn’t see Reed wanting
the same thing and her clock is still ticking and Reed well let’s just say he’s carrying
around pain and doesn’t feel deserving. ( no spoiler, read to find out)
Afraid of feeling too much, too soon Megan tires to be “friends “ with Reed but with the
intense sexual attraction they share she soon learns that’s not an option.
I can’t tell you how much I loved this story. It was told in both POV’s, more
like he said, she said, a style I really like.
I was surprised when Kale and Ronnie from The Valentine’s Arrangement
were brought into the story, a connection I didn’t expect but happy to hear
they’re doing well and planning their life.
OMG…I absolutely loved Feel The Rush, a beautiful love story with just enough
Angst to make your heart beat faster and Reed, well what can I say,
he is my Mc Steamy.
The author Kelsie Leverich has another hit under her belt. The characters were well
developed and the secondary ones played a major role in the story.
:Feel The Rush is available at:
Kelsie Leverich lives in Indiana with her husband and two adorable monsters that are better known as her kids. Her life revolves around her family (to include two dogs and a cat) and most of the time, actually all of the time, it’s a crazy mess—but that’s the way she loves it! When Kelsie’s not writing, you can usually find her on the lake with friends and family or snuggling on the couch with her kids and a good book. Kelsie is not a morning person, has a soft spot for animals, loves musicals, hates seafood, and thinks laundry is the source of all evil. You can find Kelsie on Twitter and Facebook, or visit her website at www.kelsieleverich.com
