(No going Back is book #2 in Erika’s Timing is Everything series)
it will be available July 12 2013

Life isn’t always about fairytales and happily ever-after’s according to Seth Jordan. After having his world shattered and heartbroken beyond repair, he had always sworn off the idea of love. He was perfectly content with continuing his life with worthless one night stands and no strings attached sex. That was until one blue-eyed blonde managed to seep into places he thought were cemented shut.

Like a jack hammer, Mallory Prentice came into Seth’s life and cracked the hard exterior that surrounded his heart. She’s the one woman he was starting to feel might be worth taking a chance on.

But life doesn’t always hand you the easy road. Sometimes you are constantly hit with the bad and have no hope of any good ever showing up.

Will Seth and Mallory realize that ultimately they are the ones who are in control of their life’s outcome? Will they embrace the future and fight for their own happiness, or will they keep lingering in past mistakes and let it keep them apart?

Life is all about forgiveness and second chances. Once you come to that conclusion and just go for it, there is…no going back.

Thanks Erika for coming, anything I can get you?
No, I’m good to go. Thank you, though.
Anything you can tell us about yourself that your readers may not know.
Hmm, I’m actually pretty boring. Meaning, I don’t do much. But that’s only because it’s hard to get out when you have 5 kids :0) But I love concerts. I have an obsession with drummers. I put a lot of my personality into Jesika actually and the whole Booty nickname was mine in high school…I just exaggerated it for MoFo.
How long have you been writing and who influenced you?
I’ve been writing since Sept 2012. I started reading March, 22nd 2012… I hated reading before that…but something about the Hunger Games movie sparked my interest to read. That was my first book I have EV-ER read and I was instantly in love. Then me and Nacole Stayton became good book friends on twitter and always chatted about our fav authors and books. One day we came up with the crazy idea “Hey, I’ll write a book, if you write one.” We had both had this urge growing inside of us, but thought we were silly and that we couldn’t do it… Then BAM 6-7mths later our debut novels were released.  So, I’d have to say she was my inspiration to actually go for it.
Is Erika Ashby your real name?
Yes. It is my married name. I had a pen name, but to me and me alone, I felt weird. Honestly, I couldn’t say Erika Taylor with a straight face. I have no Poker Face. Plus, my husband didn’t like it. So, I decided that if I was going to be known for something, I wanted to be known by my real name. I know everyone has their reasons for using a pen or for going by the real deal. So, I did what felt right to me and switched it…it’s been a bit of a booger getting it all changed over btw.
What music inspired you while you were writing?
Oh goodness! I listen to everything. I try making play lists for each book with songs that I think fit my characters or stories.  But my actual play list that’s just random that I listen to sometimes while writing that’s actually titled “Writing Motivation Yo,” varies from “You Can Do It” by Ice Cube -to- “Chalk Outline” by Three Days Grace -to- “No Diggity” by Blackstreet -to- “Dance Without You” by Skylar Grey… My music is all over the place…but I’m a rocker chick at heart :0)
Favorite place to write.
Anywhere there is no kids lol…
What makes you laugh/cry?
I make myself laugh…b/c I’m just that funny. J/k… well, kinda. Books and movies can make me laugh & cry. My kids can make me laugh. And I wear my heart on my sleeve, so there’s a lot of stuff in general that can make me cry.
We all know Seth and the band from Moving Forward, any more concerts lined up
with Black Falcon?
At the moment, No L Maybe one day they’ll take off on the road again…but The Rifters are just now taking off and touring with another band named Weathering Heights. Hopefully Seth and the boys will be headlining their own tour soon :0)
Any other books planned for this series?
Yes. I have Jake’s novella In The End being worked on now. It’s actually going to wrap up the series. I have two spin off’s planned. Save Me From Me which will have Holden in it and then Give Into Me which will have Nick in it. I took them out of the series because they will be complete stand alones. I don’t want people thinking they have to read all the other books first. Yes, you will know more about the actual characters if you do, but the stuff they go through will be touched on in their own books so you will still know what’s up.
If your books were a movie what celebrities would be cast as the main characters?
Hehe. That would be so fun. I don’t know b/c the guys I have casted in my heads are models.. So if models can act Derek would be Jeff Tomsik, Jesika- Ashley Greene, Seth- Brandyn Farrell, Mallory- Britney Snow, Holden- Dillon Parkes and DanI- Miranda Lambert.. Oh and Nick I’d have Max Emerson :0)
Thanks for spending time with us today, I know your readers will enjoy it. –
Thank you so much!! I enjoyed hanging out!
